Fight!! Battles of OCs and Legendary Fighters : Chapter One

Fight Style: Regular Match; One Stock per Combatant

Combatants: Dark Angelos VS Ricky Powers VS Ellen Wendlez VS Michael Hatake

Area of Battle: Outskirts of the Brawl Mansion

“Hey! Just so you guys know, I’ll be the one winning this battle today!”

A young winged girl laughed and swooped down from the blue and cloudy sky. Her messy ebony black hair blew in the sudden onslaught of wind as she flew down from the sky and onto the ground. Intense electric-blue eyes blinked in the surroundings, and her mouth grew into a grin as she took in all the sights. Her large gray angel wings fluffed up behind her as she prepared her weapons for battle.

The girl donned an ankle-length, black vest with gold trimming, a loose white shirt with no cloth covering the shoulders, pure white fingerless gloves, black pants and light brown sandals. Many bandages were wrapped rather untidily around her midriff and arms.

“Nice try,” said another voice, this time masculine. “But I’ll be the one victorious today!”

The voice came from a male teenager, who landed onto the ground with an impressive jump. Electricity crackled from his hands and feet as he smirked at the girl; his determined blue eyes glared into hers, and his russet-brown hair blew in the slight breeze.

The teen wore an American Eagle shirt with a silhouette of an eagle and red in color, a pair of simple jeans, and simple black and white sneakers.

“Ricky,” the winged girl nodded with a small smile. “I think you’re wrong!”

“Dark,” Ricky smirked. “I know for a fact that I’ll win… and I’m always right.”

“You two, stop your arguing and give up now.”

The two fighters on the stadium looked behind them in surprise. A tall, brown-haired young man approached them briskly, hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face. His bespectacled hazel eyes gazed at his opponents with blazing intimidation. Strapped to the young man’s back was a scroll with ancient runes written elegantly on the paper, and in his hand was a glaring green sword with the same pattern of runes etched into it.

The young man wore a simple blue jacket with a green shirt hidden underneath, blue jeans, and black shoes.

“Oh, come on,” Dark clicked her tongue in distaste. “I thought this would be a lot easier, until you came…Michael.”

“Well, I can’t feel sorry for you,” Michael laughed. “I want this victory as bad as you guys.”

“Ooh, fun!”

A female giggle made the three turn around. A girl approached them with a bounce in her skip. Her dark blue eyes shone with glee and her shining, neck-length brown hair bobbed with every step. Clipped at her waist were two blasters that clicked with every step she took.

The female wore a simple black jacket with a white tank top underneath, dark blue jean shorts with obvious burns and grass stains, and ankle-length, dark blue and black boots.

“Look who it is!” Dark greeted.

“Hey, Dark,” the girl waved with a smile. “I’ll have to apologize in advance for taking this victory.”

“Like hell you will, Ellen,” Ricky retorted. “I think I’ll win.”

“Pft,” Michael snorted. “Idiots.”

The four fighters stepped back, awaiting the call to begin the fight.

“Alright, OCs!” a sudden female voice exclaimed, seemingly out of nowhere. “Are you ready to get your brawl on?”

“Like hell we are!” the four fighters cheered, disregarding the mysterious voice’s whereabouts.

“Alright! Let’s get ready to…BRAWL!!”

The crowd that was thought to not exist roared with excitement. This, did not worry the fighters, however; instead, it boosted their morale.

Dark smirked, her smile revealing sharp canines. She unsheathed the absurdly large silver sword from its sheath, a dark green ribbon trailing from the hilt. The angel took her battle position, left leg behind the right and her arm muscles flexing.

Electricity crackled at Ricky’s palms, surges of lightning visible at his feet. He opened his palms and took his battle position.

Michael shut his eyes, much to the other three fighters’ bewilderment. At once, a terrifying roar of what seemed to be a dragon resounded from the scroll on his back. The runes on both his sword and scroll glowed a bright golden light.

Ellen skillfully twirled her twin blasters in both hands. She smirked and took her position, her fingers brushing the triggers of her weapons.

“THREE!”

“Palutena grant me strength…” Dark whispered.

“TWO!”

“I need to pull this off…” both Ellen and Ricky murmured under their breath.

“ONE!”

Michael laid a hand on his sword, not saying a word as he looked into the eyes of the other fighters.

“GO!!!”

The four fighters exploded from their positions, dashing across the entire stadium with their weapons in hand.

Dark let out a loud battle cry as she charged toward the closest person: Ellen. A combination of quick slashes with the angel’s holy blade were just barely avoided by her enemy. Ellen quickly drew her blasters, shooting with pinpoint accuracy at the angel. Dark was able to avoid all but one; the last bullet nicked her ankle.

Michael and Ricky were also engaged in a heated battle, throwing blows at each other at the other side of the battlefield. Ricky’s palms furiously crackled with electricity as he swung mighty blows at his opponent. Michael grunted as he dodged the incoming combination of attacks, avoiding the electricity that could very well send him off of the battlefield.

Cursing under her breath, Dark winced. The angel suddenly stopped running and soared up into the air. At that same moment, a flash- and her sword was gone. Ellen’s eyes widened in surprise as the angel soared at her at a fast speed, wielding a completely different weapon. In the angel’s hands was a beautiful silver bow that shined with the luminosity of the moon. The angel drew arrows from the new quiver that rested on her back, launching them at the battlefield at a quick speed.

The arrows made contact with all three fighters on the battlefield. All three fighters on the ground hissed in pain as the arrows found their way into their bodies. Ellen cried out in pain as an arrow found its home in her upper arm. The brawl between Michael and Ricky was separated; Michael hissed as he deflected the barrage of arrows with his sword, and Ricky tried to zap the incoming arrows with his electrokinesis, flinching as some stray projectiles nicked areas throughout his body.

However, one of those fighters took action fairly quickly.

“I summon thee!” Michael commanded, raising his sword towards the sky.

The same roar that resounded from both his scroll and sword sounded again. The scroll’s runes yet again glowed the same golden light, just like in the beginning of the fight. From the scroll emerged a gigantic dragon. The beast was just barely twice the size of the entire battlefield, and was black in color. Large, scaly wings protruded from its back, and also on its back were the golden runes- the same ones on Michael’s sword and scroll.

“Go!” Michael shouted, outstretching his arm. “Get the one in the sky! I’ll deal with the others.”

The beast bellowed an earsplitting roar and bared its fangs. Swooping over the battlefield, the dragon roared at Dark, golden eyes glinting with rage.

Michael smirked and lowered his sword arm.

“Now that my dragon’s got her…it’s my turn.”

The dragon-summoner dashed at Ricky, who was still recovering from surprise. Ricky let out a cry of pain as Michael leapt and kicked him straight in the gut. His instant reaction was to clutch his stomach, but it proved as a big mistake. Michael swung around in a circle, his legs outstretched so he could hit Ricky. The blow made contact, causing the electrokinesis user to fall right on his back. Ricky could barely groan in pain, for Michael was already approaching him.

Michael, about to close in on the fallen fighter for the finishing blow, smirked and charged, sword in hand…but it only occurred to him that-

BLAM!

Michael gasped in pain, feeling a swift blow to his legs and then falling onto his back. He cursed inside his mind as he glared at the figure that stood above him; Ellen. How could he possibly forget that there was another fighter on the battlefield?

In the sky, Dark grunted and replaced her bow with her sword she used at the start of the battle. She dodged the dragon’s lunging snap easily, and maneuvered herself above the dragon.

“Easy, big stuff!” Dark cried with a smile.

The angel smirked as the dragon lunged at her yet again.

Piece of cake, she thought.

With a roar, the dragon sped toward the angel, fangs bared. Dark easily dodged again, but instead of flying straight over the colossal, she flew straight at it. With a loud cry, Dark outstretched her sword arm and stabbed forward. She was met with the venom and blood of the dragon exploding in front of her. The dragon let out a terrifying screech of agony before its wings gave out. Dark watched as the dragon disappeared in the same golden light that summoned it before.

“What did I tell you?” Dark sighed, wiping her blade free of venom and blood. “Sorry, big guy.”

Ellen clicked her blaster, aiming straight at the area in the middle of Michael’s eyes. The dragon summoner felt perspiration drip down his neck and bead at his head, and he gritted his teeth.

“Tch,” Ellen muttered. “Guess you forgot about me.”

“I-“

ZAP!

A burst of electricity launched Michael into the air. Unable to scream, Michael felt his eyes widen as he felt the wind blow in his face and get launched off of the battlefield. Seizing the chance, Ellen’s eyes widened as she blasted bullets, wave after wave. Michael launched off-screen, unable to get back to the battlefield.

“Michael Hatake, defeated!” cried the female announcer.

Ellen turned around to find Ricky standing up with his hand clutched over his gut.

“Mine,” Ricky only smirked. “Only if you didn’t get in the way.”

“You’re such a-“

Ellen, much to Ricky’s surprise, suddenly fell forward. With a yell of pain, Ellen groaned as her face hit the ground, but could manage to say a couple of impolite words under her breath.

“Forget about me?” Dark taunted with a wide grin. “That’s so ironic, Ellen!”

“Damn it,” Ellen groaned, “I hate both of you…”

Ellen jerked up, causing Dark to lose her balance and fall over. Dark outstretched her wings, dodging the incoming series of light spheres that Ellen summoned from her palms. At the same time, Ricky’s palms glowed with the sparks of electricity as he pinpointed the two fighters with his lightning bolts.

Dark easily flew over the electricity and light attacks, dodging them with ease and blocking them with her bow. She drew her arrows, drawing and letting go with them with speed and accuracy. Ellen fired light sphere after light sphere at the two other fighters, dodging the arrows and electricity without letting up. Ricky was the same way; he dodged the incoming projectiles swiftly, and fired lightning bolts at the two fighters.

Needless to say, they grew tired. All of the fighters soon become exhausted, becoming more open to hits.

Dark groaned as a light sphere hit her smack in the chest. She fell backwards, hitting the ground with a thud. She made little attempts to get back up, only trading her bow for her sword yet again.

Ellen winced as the electricity sparked her on both arms, leaving marks. She tried to fire with her blasters at the young man who summoned them, but could only scream as more electricity struck her, bolt after bolt.

Ricky wiped the perspiration beading at his forehead and neck. He could barely smile as he saw the two female fighters on the ground.

“Looks like I was right,” Ricky started. “I’ll-“

The unfamiliar tone of what sounded like a shine made all three fighters’ heads snap up.

Fighters!” exclaimed the female announcer. “Get that Finale Stone for an incredible finishing attack!!”

As if all fatigue was washed away, the three fighters made a mad dash for the incredible item.

“Mine!!” Dark screeched with glee. “Totally mine!!”

“As if!” Ellen shouted, a mixture of anger and joy audible in her tone of voice.

“Hell no!” Ricky yelled. “That’s mine!”

Dark leapt into the air, avoiding the blaster shots, light spheres and electricity behind her. She zoomed to the Finale Stone, slashing at it furiously with her sword, until a zap of electricity blasted her out of the way. Ricky aimed his lightning at the stone- just as he was about to strike, Ellen slid across the stage, bowling him over. The two collapsed over each other in a heap of curses, electricity and light.

Dark’s eyes widened, electric blue eyes burning with anger but determination.

I have to get it, she thought frantically. Now’s my chance, and most likely my only one!

The angel bellowed a battle cry as she swiftly got up and charged at the drifting Finale Stone. Seeing this, Ellen and Ricky gasped.

“No!” both fighters screamed. “You can’t get that!!!”

With that, furious sparks and blaster shots showered upon the angel…only to no avail.

SMASH.

Everything grew dark. An eerie darkness spread throughout the entire area; the only thing lighting it up was Dark. Flying colors enveloped the angel; furious red turned from mellow yellow, to bright pink, to deep turquoise. The rainbow color could only mean one thing:

“She got it,” Ellen could choke in agony.

And all of a sudden, the colors vanished.

Dark’s eyes glowed gold- an eerie but dazzling gold that only meant the worst.

The unsheathing of a sword resounded from the angel’s belt. Another appeared, hovering just slightly above the angel’s right wing.

And another. And another.

In just seconds, more and more swords appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the air. From simple rapiers to massive, dangerous broadswords, Dark summoned them all.

And they were all aimed at Ellen and Ricky.

“…go.”

All hell broke loose as each sword was launched at the remaining two fighters and opponents. Ellen screeched as an iron sword made its way into her arm, and another one- an armor-slaying sword- lodged its way straight in her gut. The girl was launched from her position into the air. Higher and higher she went, until one simple slash of a katana propelled her off screen and into the far background.

Ellen Wendlez, defeated!”

Ricky could only stand there in horror as he witnessed Ellen’s knock-out.

“Shit.”

All remaining swords launched directly at the electro-kinesis holder. The teenager screamed in agony as the swords pierced him everywhere on his body, but he could not scream any more as he was launched into the trees and offscreen.

“RICKY POWERS, DEFEATED!” came the delightful screech of the female announcer. “You all know what that means!”

“DARK ANGELOS IS THE WINNER!”

The crowd that almost seemed non-existent in the heated brawl erupted in screams and cheers. The majority cheers seemed to come from the Centurions and other angels of Skyworld, supportive and happy for their victorious comrade.

Dark let out a cheer of victory, falling back and letting her wings catch her. She glided in the air for just a few heartbeats, until she landed on the ground with two feet.

“What did I tell you?” she giggled. “I told you I’d win!”
